  This has been our family's go-to seafood place for many, many years.
  
  Don't expect anything too fancy. It's a local eatery that offers great fried shrimp, deviled crab and flounder/tilapia ... and of course traditional sides like baked potatoes, coleslaw, green beans, etc.
  
  They also have an oyster bar in the back of the restaurant.
  
  The food's good and the service is as expected. I will caution you that they have odd hours/days of operation, so be sure to call in advance.
  
  Also, they can get SUPER BUSY with long waits, so you may want to call ahead to find out how busy it is.

  Wed evening visit.  When you walk thru the door and see padded church pews capable of seating a 100 or so people, you have to figure there's a reason.  
  
  Waitress was prompt, helpful & efficient, stopping by several times to ensure everything was OK.  Got fried shrimp platters with sides.  Shrimp was 21-30 count size, cooked just right, generous servings.  Sides were ample as well.  
  
  We both emerged stuffed & fully understanding why this place has folks waiting to be seated to enjoy their seafood.  I wish Yelp allowed 1/2 stars, cause I don't believe in 5 stars, but this place definitely deserves 4.5 stars.

  Who doesn't love Sandpiper? Whether you live in the area or passing through this place is definitely a must stop.
  
  My family and I have been coming here for years and we LOVE Kim! She's been our waitress every time and always remembers our orders. The rest of the staff are just as friendly!
  
  The food quality is always on point! Even on take-out orders.  The food is always made properly and the portions are great!

  The service was great once someone got around to us, however the food was lacking for me. It may be because I'm used to going to seafood restaurants that automatically season their plates. I ordered the grilled flounder, and it was very bland. However, I will definitely try it again and ask for them to season it. The best part of the meal was the homemade apple sauce, strangely enough. I've never had apple sauce that good!

  My wife and I stopped in about two weeks ago. The front was very busy so we went to the oyster bar in back where we were immediately seated. We shared a peck of steamed oysters which were delicious! Excellent service from the guy who shucked our oysters and prepared our setup of dips for the oysters.
  
  A little expensive for a regular meal, most fresh oysters are but great for an occasional treat. We are looking forward to a return visit! I was surprised to learn they can now serve fresh oysters pretty much year round, no longer just in the months with an r.
  
  We also enjoyed the company of the couple seated next to us who were enjoying a similar meal, friendly atmosphere.
